  Prevalence of Periodontal Disease among Individuals between 18-30 Years of Age: A Retrospective Study

  Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of periodontal disease among individuals between 18-30 years of age. Materials & Methods: The present retrospective study was conducted among outpatients reported to Saveetha Dental College, Chennai from June 2019 to March 2020. A total of 200 patients (100 males and 100 females) of 18-30 years of age were randomly selected as study participants. Based on the clinical examination data, the study subjects were categorized either into gingivitis or periodontitis. Results: Frequency distribution and percentage and chisquare test were calculated.
