Knowledge and Risk Factors of Cardiovascular Diseases among Residents of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Osun State

Background: Cardio Vascular Diseases (CVD) are the leading causes of illness and death
globally. The rapid changes in lifestyle have led to an increase in the magnitude of CVD, which
are emerging as a predominant health problem especially in developing countries; where
non-communicable diseases are replacing the traditional enemies of infectious diseases and
malnutrition.
Objective: This study is done to assess the community knowledge and risk factors of Cardio
Vascular Diseases (CVD) in Ifelodun local government area, Osun state.
Materials and method: It was a cross-sectional descriptive study using multi-stage sampling
