Association between Dental Attendance and Untreated Coronal Caries among 45-60 Years Visiting Private Dental College: A Retrospective Analysis

Dental caries is one of the oral health problems which causes destruction of hard parts of the tooth by interaction of bacteria and fermentable carbohydrates. Dental caries continue to be an important public health problem in most developing countries. Making regular dental visits plays a major role in the prevalence of dental caries. A retrospective study was conducted by reviewing 86,000 patient records of the authors University hospital for a period of nine months from June 2019 to March 2020. About 100 consecutive case records with signed informed consent making dental visits for regular oral health check-up were retrieved.
